“You never know the value of a moment until it’s just a memory.”

Rachel started taking pictures at a very young age and has always loved “capturing the moments.” However, it wasn’t until she lost her grandfather in June 2013 that she realized just how important these images were. As she helped look through pictures for the memorial video, she realized how few she really had of her and her Papaw.

Since this moment, Rachel became the “crazy camera lady” of the family and takes pictures of every event, party, moment that she can. Because at the end of the day, memories fade—but images last forever. After this, a few years went by and Rachel & her husband, Mitchell, had their first daughter in April 2019. When this happened, Rachel knew she wanted to capture every moment of her daughter’s childhood, becasue as they say “the days are long, but they years are short,” and Rachel didn’t want to forget anything from the 18 short years of her daughter’s childhood.

Once she began taking pictures of her daughter, her husband and Sister-in-Love encouraged her to share her passion and talent with others. In doing this, Rachel Cox Photography was born in Spring 2021.

The mission of RCP is to provide Quality images at affordable prices, because EVERYONE deserves to have images of their lives to share with future generations.

Since it’s inception, Rachel has had the privilege of capturing families, graduations, senior pictures, weddings, birthday parties, Proms, and so much more.
